Message from the Dean
I am pleased to welcome you to the Master of Science in Management/Nonprofit Leadership Concentration (MSNPL) at New England College (NEC), one of the most innovative and relevant graduate programs available for nonprofit leaders.
Whether you work for a large or small organization, government agency, or other tax-exempt entity, your organization moves within a sector whose role as a steward of the public good is challenged by the complexity of projects you undertake. As they grow more complicated, and the environment more competitive every day, nonprofit leadership requires ever greater expertise.
As a NEC MSNPL graduate, you will be empowered with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a leader in the nonprofit sector, which can only be acquired in a systematic way through graduate study. Our program enables you to demonstrate advanced skills in communication, financial and organizational management, strategic planning, and ethical decision-making. By offering these skills, NEC sets the stage for graduates who wish to advance their career and expand their influence in the nonprofit sector.
Our MSNPL students and graduates are amazed at the level of convenience offered by this rigorous and challenging course of study. You now have the opportunity to earn your Master's degree without placing your career on hold or relocating.
Studying online, supported by NEC's extraordinary 24/7 technical support system, enables our students to continue in their present jobs, while enhancing their performance as they learn. They acquire problem-solving and critical thinking skills, by applying what they learn in class to current challenges in their jobs and organizations, and add stature to their reputation as they advance their credentials.
With a manageable time commitment of approximately 15 to 20 hours per week of study, and faculty who appreciate the challenges of balancing this commitment with home and work schedules, the MSNPL program offers working professionals the perfect avenue for personal and professional growth. The immense value it will add to your working life begins with the decision you are about to make — take the next step toward achieving leadership in the nonprofit sector.
Please feel free to call our Admissions Advisors for more information on the program, tuition, and financial aid. I look forward to welcoming you to NEC and the MSNPL program.
