Message from the Dean
I am pleased to welcome you to the Master of Science in Management/Project Management Concentration (MSPM) at New England College (NEC), one of the most innovative and relevant programs available today for business leaders with project management responsibilities. Whether you work for a large or small company, a government agency, or for yourself, your organization moves forward on a project-to-project basis. Your leadership and planning skills are challenged by the projects you face. As they grow more complicated and competitive every day, their success depends upon your management expertise.
As a NEC MSPM graduate, you will be assuring present and future employers that their projects will be in capable hands, brought in on time and on budget. The MSPM is an impressive business credential that enables you to demonstrate advanced skills in communication, financial, and organizational management; the creation of quality work environments; strategic planning; costing strategies; contract management; and other essential tools vital to effective project management.
The program integrates the nine Project Management Book of Knowledge competency areas into the curriculum, preparing the student to be the effective decision-maker essential for project success. Many of our students pursue PMI certification both during and after degree completion. Our MSPM students and graduates are amazed at the level of convenience offered by this rigorous and challenging course of study. You now have the opportunity to earn your Master's degree without placing your career on hold or relocating.
The convenience of learning in our MSPM program is due to its online delivery, supported by an extraordinary 24/7 technical support system. Our students are not only able to retain their present jobs, but actually enhance them, as they learn problem-solving and critical thinking skills they never thought possible, and add stature to their reputations while advancing their credentials.
With a manageable time commitment of approximately 15 to 20 hours per week of study, and faculty who appreciate the challenges of balancing this commitment with home and work schedules, the MSPM program offers working professionals the perfect avenue for personal and professional growth in the area of advanced decision-making. The immense value it will add to your working life begins with the decision you are about to make — to take the next step toward achieving leadership in project management.
Please feel free to call our Admissions Advisors for more information on the program, tuition, and financial aid.
I look forward to welcoming you to NEC and the MSPM program.
